I broke this rod last year and 13 fishing was great and getting it replaced. Last night I flipped a 3.3 lb bass up and before I could grab the fish the rod snapped 4 guides down from the top. Not real thrilled that this is the second rod in two years. Anyone have the same problems? Or anyone have any positives to say about it?

I have about a half dozen Muse rods and broke one in a similar spot last year slinging a 1# bass in the boat. Local tackle shop where I bought it exchanged it for me without question. Outside of that they've been great.

I've had a few of the Fate Chrome rods and really like them. I've caught several 4lb+ fish with no problems.

I don't try to boat flip fish, though.

Both of mine snapped near the tip. No good.

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!
