I tried the speed clips, that lasted one trip. It took me twice as long to get that darn clip on the lure as it did to just tie a new knot.

I know someone in DFW who has won a bunch of money on crankbaits that uses snaps. So apparently its ok to use them... just a preference thing. I can tie a knot plenty fast enough that Ive never thought about needing a snap.

I use snaps/clips all the time. Quick and easy and have never had a failure with it.
