That how many I left for y'all since I quit drinking 12 years ago. A 12 pack adds up over time doesn't it?

That 52,000+ in your title would be several lifetimes of beer for me. Congrats on staying sober!! At least a 12 pack. Some days it was more, but never less. I always knew how many I had in the fridge at home when I left work, and if it was less than 9 I stopped and bought more. My youngest was a junior in HS and the oldest was 22 when I quit. They had never not seen me drink up until then. It's taken years to mend my relationship with them, and it may never be totally restored.

Congrats, David!
I quit about 32 years ago, but it was because of a medical condition I had developed. I drank a lot - beer and Wellers - but never got to the level you attained. It was probably much tougher for you than me, and it sounds like your family was in the balance at some level, which I never had to face.
Family is so important, and you made the right decision for yours.

Keep going sir. Always good to hear stories of people who recognized an issue in their life and then made the changes necessary to fix it. Unfortunate about the kids. Hopefully you are able to get it all the way patched up with the kids at some point.
