Not really. I leave hints laying around and the kids never get them or they wait until the last minute and stuff is picked over. I did get a pair of leather gloves that I will need come work weekend at deer lease.

I did actually. My son and I went fishing and whacked the Stripers. We got home and the wife had made carnitas, tortillas and a coconut pie, it was a great surprise. A short nap ensued and then we watched baseball until the wife was ready for bed.

I only ask for a few things on Father's Day. For the Last 28 years of marriage I am always in search of the "Perfect Day". The Perfect Day is different from year to year, but it always involves one or more meals. This year was a breakfast made by my wife and later in the Day a Huge Prime Rib from Texas Road House. I ordered a cut that is not listed on the Menu. 20 oz. It involves Peace and quiet which is defined by NO Arguments by anyone in the Family. This is the most difficult task between my wife and 2 Daughters. On most years it involves fishing in the early Morning, but frankly this year I wanted to relax and get out in my Garden before it got too hot. It involves my daughters saying Happy Father's day and telling me that they love me. it involves me calling my Father and telling him I love him. It involves sneaking away with my wife and messing around and then taking a nap in the Middle of the Day. This year was one of the best I can remember!

Not a Father's Day gift, but I did get this over the weekend:

We don't do Hallmark holidays around here. No Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's, the new stupid one in the fall whatever it's called sweetest day.
Birthdays, Christmas, and I suppose our anniversary we will do. But that's really it.
Got to spend the weekend with my son weekend before last. We had a great time at the ballpark. That memory is better than any gift on some made up holiday.

Got some sushi for lunch, Trompo Tacos for dinner, a new backscratcher since I broke my previous one, and a charging station for my PS4 controllers since my son always forgets to plug them in. Follow that up with some gaming with my son and my wife set up my soldering station at the kitchen table so I could work on a guitar pedal project after everyone goes to bed. It was a good day!

Got to see my Son and his family. He cooked some jerky that is sooooo hot it will peel paint. And I love it. And a 4 wheel cart I needed to move supplies around with.

Ask her to tell you a joke. She's got some pretty good one liners.
