When I was small my dad would take me there camping. You’d pass a little spring on the side of the road on thae way that you could get water from. You’d pay at a little bait shop type building and then hit the trail to your desired spot. No animities other than maybe a table at each space.. I don’t know the name or much more than I stated. I’d like to take my family, and my dads unfortunately not around any more to ask. Anyone have any ideas where I’m talking about?

Awesome place to camp and fish but be aware the gates don't open until 7am.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed. Conscience never acquits, it either accuses or excuses.

Awesome place to camp and fish but be aware the gates don't open until 7am. If you contact them they can set it up so you can enter and launch before 0700. That is what they told me at the store when you get your passes.

That spring may be half meth by now Last time I’ve been there was 30+ years ago. Just a vague memory.

Don't recall a spring here around TWOK. Only spring I know of is on Hwy 175 by the Dam at Lake Palestine. Stop on the side of the road and fill up your jugs. Little pipe sticking out of the rock.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
