I have 3 batteries. One is for starting the boat and the other 2 are in series so that I can have 24V for the trolling motor. Question is, do I need to take the cables off of the batteries for my MK charger to charge all 3 batteries at the same time? I am worried about having the 2 batteries in series and charging them.
Question 2: Even though the 2 batteries are in series to make a 24V system can I run 12 volt lights or accessories off of the 2 batteries as long as I put one wire on positive and one wire on negative?

No each battery will have its own charging wire as if they are 3 12v batteries. You should only run the TM off those 2 batteries and definitely not a fish finder. Your accessories should be on the 12v battery

Like Bobby stated, trolling motor only off its batteries and everything else off the cranking battery. I am running all pumps and lights, aerators, power poles, and 3 chart plotters off my cranking battery.

1. As long as you have a 3 bank charger then the pos. and neg. of each bank should go to a separate battery. You should have a cutoff switch between the batteries and the trolling motor and also one on your cranking battery.
2. The answer is yes you can do that, as in it would work, but you really shouldn't do it. Would likely cause interference on your sonar every time you ran the trolling motor. And running lights off of one of the batteries would deplete that batteries reserve quicker than the other risking the chance of over discharging it and causing premature battery failure if you ran them down low enough.

Two batteries is all i have used for the last fifteen years...took the cranking battery out as a test and never put it back in....i run two 27 series interstates....never had a problem.

So your constant draw is 2 sonar units. Do you get interference from your ultrex on your sonar units?

Do you get interference from your ultrex on your sonar units? ive had the ultrex about a month, there is interference on the front unit, but not as bad as it was on my old maxxum trolling motor...im usually vertical fishing and havent noticed any interference that was an issue...as far as the console unit, i dont know if there is interference, i never looked at it when im spot locked, or up front fishing a brush pile... I talked to interstate and they told me any of their deep cycle batteries could double as a dual purpose or cranking battery....so thats what ive aways done.

I dont run fish finders off ot tm batteries because of interference. I figure if I pay the high proce for quality units, why degrade their quality with unnecessary interference. I do a lot of night time fishing and running lights and fish finders for 8 hours has left me with a dead battery before. Could I manage everything on tm batteries? Probably. I actually run 4 batteries. 2 for tm, one for cranking and one for everything else. Since I started using this setup, i no longer have to worry about whether I will be able to crank my motor after a long night of fishing.

thanks guys. I have the 2 batteries for the trolling motor but just was wondering about running night time lights off of them which are 12 volt. I am just worried about running the starter battery out of juice.
