I would like to add a T Top to my boat. It's a '02 Blue Wave 2200. All I'm really finding are more than I would really like to drop. Any direction, insight, or info would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I'm looking for a t-top for my Bay Stealth too. I found the best prices on eBay. There's a adjustable Dolphin Pro on eBay for $649.00. It looks pretty nice.

I have two pieces of advise on this from my own personal experience. 1) Make sure you really want one. They are always there, and can be in the way if you cast a lot.
2) Stay Away from Fishmaster brand, and understand a custom all welded one will meet your expectations, and most of the kits will not.

Biggest mistake I ever made was adding a t top to my falcon.

I would echo TCK, make sure you want one. You do loose some casting realestate, but I love mine, and would do it again. In my sig line you will see my TTop, custom built, great addition to my boat.

As much as I wanted a T-top I went with a Bimini instead after fishing out of a boat with one. If you cast at all off the front and specially off the back deck they get in the way. Bimini folded down when fishing is much easier

Yes sir, and the bimini can be removed for night fishing with ease. Paid $ 400 for mine, fish out of friends boat with T-top, had to learn how to underhand cast left and right handed as not to overhead cast ! Causes a lot of excessive beer drinking.

I appreciate the replies. I feel like if my boat was a longer, it might be a better option. I do cast a lot and they are nice but I think it may get in the way. Like Kerry says, "If you have your limit by 9:30, you don't need a T Top." Haha

Don't let everyone discourage you. If you want a t top get one. I have one on my new boat and love it. It is nice to have some shade on those hot days. Yes it restricts some casting sometimes but you learn to cast around it. Also if you don't normally have a lot of people fishing in the boat at 1 time then usually there is plenty of room. I usually only have a total of 3-4 people in my boat at once and there is plenty of room.

I'm still not decided one way or the other. I rarely have more than 2-3 people on my boat.

I've been trying to decide T-top or bimini for my center console. Really needed one on a recent trip to Rockport when the sun was so bright I wasn't sure I had sun glasses on or not-I did, but they weren't dark enough.

I had a bimini on my Ranger and used it some. It got in the way fishing so I used it more for pleasure. When I bought my bay boat last year I passed on some that had ttops. Unfortunately the bimini on the Ranger was not big enough for the Champ. I might get another bimini one day. One reason I did not want the ttop is going under low bridge. I barely clear some now.

I'm still not decided one way or the other. I rarely have more than 2-3 people on my boat. I went 15 years with out a T-Top. I had a bimini but used it maybe 3 times in 15 years. It really got in the way during fishing. My new boat has a T-Top. So far I really like it. Its allowing me to fish when normally I would not. The shade can not be beat and is crucial in Texas summers. I fish by myself or with one other person 90% of the time so it getting in the way isn't an issue.
I do enjoy a good Squirt now and then.
