So, on my way back from the lake, my trailer that has given me fits threw another one at me. Somehow it managed to buck off its spare tire, which went right under the passenger side wheels of the trailer, causing the back end to jump off the ground a couple of feet. This vibration caused my trolling motor to deploy. Snapped my ducer cable right in half. I was able to repair the ducer cable, but, the motor no longer spins. I am able to steer it and have checked voltage at the head. I imagine the jolt and dragging it a 1/4 mile before I could stop the truck mashed its guts.
So that being said, do you think I could file an insurance claim for it? Its a $1800 motor, not sure what it will cost to get it repaired. Deductible is $250.
