Just bought a 2018 F-150 with it. You get use to it, it’s not that big of deal.

My 2010 GMC 1500 has it, I never notice it. Everything works when the engine stop why worry. Disabling it every time would be to much pf a hassle. Why?

I've got a 2018 F-150. There's a button on the dash that disables the stop start. When I start the engine the next thing I do is push that button. Who ever thought of this didn't live in Texas. At long red lights with the engine off the AC fan is blowing but the compressor is not turning. Doesn't take long to start getting warm.

I would permanently disable that STAT.

When the dealership was fixing my car, they gave me a loaner 2018 VW Tiguan. I figured out quick that if I came to a stop with minimal pressure on the brakes, the engine wouldn't stop. I might be able to get used to that but it may never stop annoying me. Another reason for me to stick with my 2011.

No. My wife's SUV has that feature and A/C keeps blowing when engine stops. Reality is you hardly can tell engine is not running when it does it. I can see fan still blowing but what turns the compressor.

No. My wife's SUV has that feature and A/C keeps blowing when engine stops. Reality is you hardly can tell engine is not running when it does it. I can see fan still blowing but what turns the compressor. Nothing turns it. That's why it get warm real quick at long lights and 100 degree weather
