Discussion over the weekend Mexican Train: Those sheets of return address labels received from unsolicited sources asking for donations to support their cause. I think I get two or three a month and I have no qualms about using the return address labels they gave me. I didn't ask for the labels, they sent them in a solicitation package asking for money. I think they're mine to do with as I damm well please whether or not I decide to send them money. If there's a logo, picture or whatever on them I cut it off leaving just my return address, regardless if I'm a member or supporter of the organization.
Two of the other players (interestingly, wife and husband but not married to each other) say I'm dead wrong and grossly immoral for using the labels without sending the organization money.
What says the TFF?
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

it has my name on it... that means it belongs to me.

Of course you use them.
Its wasteful not too.
And when those suckers send me a dime and say "this is all it takes a day to feed a hungry child". What the what?! Then you should have mailed it to them. I take that dime and put it right in my coffee can of change you better believe dat!

Use them unless we have too many, then toss them. Lot of $$ spent on sending this stuff so they must get contributions.

Prepare for the future-it will be here tomorrow. Personal Best Large Mouth Bass 9 lbs. 12 oz 5/13/19. Herb Stein, who famously reminded us that “if something can’t go on forever, it will stop.”

Got $2 bill in an envelope last week asking me to log onto a site to take a survey. I'm $2 richer and didn't log on to their website. Usually just throw away the obvious junk mail, but for some reason I opened it last week. The last thing I used those free address labels for was to update the address on my blank checks. I send something thru the mail where I would need a return address label almost as much as I use my checks. Only a couple times a year.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

Its not like a bonafide charity is putting you on Santas naughty list. They hired a third party to obtain mailing lists and create and send the solicitation for a large fee. This will become a thing of the past anyway. Nobody but olds actually still mail any significant amount of ground mail.

Use them. Wasteful to throw them away and they don't recycle.

At work, we have vendors that bring food to the office all the time. Usually breakfast tacos or the like. Sometimes it is guys that are perpetual high bidders with whom we have never spent a dime. Am I supposed to leave that guy's tacos on the counter because I've never bought his equipment?
Some folks just don't understand how marketing works.
