I dont understand the people saying they wont fish the trail because of the championship location. Each tournament still pays $20k to first place and usually pays 20-30 places depending on the draw. Sounds like an excuse to not fish. You dont fish four tournaments because one?? Huh. This is exactly what I was thinking.... You dont fish for $20,000 just because you dont like the water they will be holding the Championship on ? So what these guys are saying is that are fishing for the ring only ..... the title if you will. Me..... I fish all the lakes and sites that I like during the year ....... East, South, Central, North as long as I like the site ........ then, if the Championship is held on water I do not like then I dont go A lot of sad-gum complaining on here about a fishing hole

I do it because I enjoy it. Splitting $20,000 is not life changing money. I fish because hopefully I will be able to say I won one someday. To me the pride of winning a Bass Champs event would far outweigh the money. Its been a personal goal for several years. Couple that with the fact that I simply love to fish and I probably fall into the "doing it for the title" crowd.

Pretty sure its Livingston. Third largest in state and not on a regular rotation. Centrally located. Who cares about the fishing, someone always wins.

I predict that if it's on the red again it will have a record low attendance.

It would be something to hang your hat on and be able to say I won one of those. Heck I won an ABA weekend series, a BFL as a co, and a FOM tournament. But TTT or Bass champs would be some good hardware. I too keep trying.

Probably a little too far but would make a cool venue. I kind of thought that too, but what is it, another hour and a half past Shreveport? Monroe has the facilities, they had an everstart championship there and pretty sure theyve had an open there. That rivers fun to fish.

I want bass champs to succeed and understand it's a business. I propose that next year all championship competitors pay an extra 100 entry fee which doesn't go to payback just to have a tournament in a place that has some fish!
