Like most fisherman, I dont have thousands to hand out on crappie fishing equipment. So I love to find quality gear at a good price. Here's my first try with a great quality rod at a great price! https://youtu.be/lU89VFjyteE

I did not watch the whole video and I have two ACC dock shooting rods. Only thing I will warn against is the customer service is really lacking. I recently tried to contact ACC to see what they would do about replacing a dock shooting rod tip I had ordered. The tip they sent me would not go on the lower part of the rod, on either rod that I have. It was to tight. I contacted them twice thru the web site and emailed them once been over two weeks and have heard nothing. The rods are great, the replacement tip was not. That is my experience with ACC.

Man I hate to hear that. My experience with acc hasn't been short of a good one yet. I hope everything gets resolved in a timely manner. Thanks for watching!

There are very few 'perfect' crappie rods for 'a tight budget', but if you can afford $40 - $65, the Crappie Max at Bass Pro ($40) or the Pro Angler (on line $65) would both be good choices. Be careful of the physical light weight, low cost rods, as the only way that they can be manufactured is to make the walls thinner and are more prone to breakage. Just my 2cents

I've been testing a 12fter and so far it's holding up very well....
It'll have my stamp of approval soon....

I will say if a rod holds up to my hook sets and the caliber of fish I catch it's a goodern....
They sure are purdy....

I think you misinterpreted what I mean. The ACC rod is perfect for what I need. I shared with folks that may have the same interest in a rod as myself. Ive used the rods youve mentioned along with B&M and a few more and still find the ACC to be superior. In my opinion of course. Have you ever fished with the ACC rods? You may be surprised by them. Thanks for chiming in.

I think i know the guy that gave you the 12footer to test! Sounds like its passing the SK whoopin test, glad its holding up well to the pressure of a great fisherman.

Brazos River Tom:

ANDY asked me to reply to you.

He asked you please call him at 618-316-4010.

He also said he shipped your rod to another guy and never heard back from you and thought the issue was resolved.

Anyway, I'm just trying to help you out.

Give ANDY a call and I'm sure he can get you taken care of.

Good Luck and Tight Lines.

Tks Greenie25,

I am very hard of hearing so i will not be calling. I do not know about shipping the rod as I received my rod and replacement tip just fine. But a couple of days later the tip on one of my two dock shooter rods, one old, one new, broke and I tried to use the replacement and that is when I ran into problems with it was to tight and would not fit on either rod. If ACC cannot reply to their contact on their web site, or answer an email direct to them, then a $20 rod tip does not mean that much to me. I just cut it up and threw it out and mark it down to lesson learned. I will say that I really like the dock shooter rods just fine. Replacement tip, not so much.

I have used 70 dollar rods and they ar great and have no complaints other than price. That said I have been using the 7 microlite rods by Shakespeare from Walmart. They have always performed way above their price of 16.96. I probably have 10 in different sizes and have been using them for at least 15 years. They are definitely my go to rod.

I have fished all three rod brands referenced here for extended periods...in that price range, my preference (in order of preference, including price). Is the Crappie Max, the Proangler, and the ACC. The determining factor on all three rods came down to balance point first, condition of my arms/wrist/elbows/shoulders after a day of fishing with them, second; and price, third. That said, other than the ACC which I gave to a fishing buddy, I still have one of each that I dust off occasionally, when my fishing style for the day, and the rods specific purpose collide.
