 What is the number one reason you don't eat a bass?

I was wondering why no one ever eats bass like smallmouth or large mouth Bass is it because they taste bad or is it mainly for conservation purposes

Catfish and crappie for me. Ate bass one time, just wasn't that good.
I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.

I'm too lazy to clean them after fishing all day. They're not quite as tasty as crappie, for a warm freshwater fish, but black bass are plenty good to eat. Many fisheries would benefit from folks occasionally harvesting a few small ones too.

I'd say the number one reason is I forgot to bring my fillet knife.

I suggest spotted bass. At least on Rayburn and Toledo. You can catch a 100 of them and they are better than largemouth in my opinion

I'm lazy after a day of fishing and cleaning fish sucks, plus 5 fish isn't even worth the trouble.

I eat bass pretty often. I think they are better than crappie.
