i took out my tolling motor powered inflatable boat out to test out my newly purchased Loweramce hook2 hoping to find some brush piles or structures near the shore. I fished for 3 hours this morning and didnt find any crappie or sandies, as near the end of my adventure, i saw jumping shads so i cast right into it but rod flew off my hand...... 5 minutes later I tried to pull up my tiny mashroom anchor and the rope snapped..... so no fish, no anchor, one less favorite rod and reel...... what a day... the good thing is now I have a reason to get a new rod set. This all happened in grapevine near the boat houses, maybe some one will “catch” my rod one day.

Anchors are very useful for inflatables anyway. I've lost them fishing my sea eagle and now leave them at home. In wind the boat would drag the biggest ones you could buy.

Sorry about your rod. I watched a really nice ultralight get kicked off my boat at lake murray once. I watched it sink into that crystal clear water for a long time. Fished for it with a slab but never got it.

You should try fishing bridge pylons. The shade is nice and most of the time you can catch some crappie. Tying onto those pylons makes for a peaceful day.

Yes I did. I wanted that rod back and thought I might snag the line.
