Went to the lake Thursday. Apparently about an hour before the wind hit. We put in at the Heath ramp. Since we could see the front coming we decided to stay in the area. We ended up finding several just North of the ramp on the point. Caught a few hybrids as well. Then the front blew in. Then it got real. We had to get off the water as soon as we could. We got back to the ramp and there was a father with his two sons attempting to load up his jet ski with three-foot swales and wind over 20 mph. I had to help them before loading my boat. The last three times i went to Hubbard I needed to help people. I dont mind because i want people to be safe and enjoy the water. The wind was so rough it took six attempts to be able to load my pontoon.

Glad you at least got to some catching before the winds moved in & make it back safely. I was out on Hubbard about halfway between the Heath ramp & the dam in a 35 hp aluminum 15ft tracker about 15 years ago when 20+ mph winds suddenly kicked up & it felt like I was out on the ocean.... it was a slow scary ride back to the ramp, plus loading up wasn't that much fun for me either....
