Here is response from Seaguar regarding counterfeit line purchase on Amazon.
Thank you for contacting us and inquiring about whether the InvizX 1000yd spool posted on TexasFishingFourm is counterfeit. On behalf of Seaguar, we can assure you that this is NOT counterfeit. We recently made a change in our spooling method and the type of spool we use in our 1000yd bulk spools. While these changes have made a difference in appearance, I can assure you that it has had no effect on the quality that you can expect from Seaguar. The new method of spooling is a “Flexible Non-Twist” (FNT) technology which allows us to use a machine to wind our bulk spools without adversely affecting the line’s performance.
1) Flexible Non-Twist Technology (FNT) was developed to help us keep up with the ever increasing demand of our bulk lines.
2) This new technology does not adversely affect our Seaguar Fluorocarbon so you can expect the same high level of performance.
3) No changes to the products have been made! This line is the same high quality Seaguar Fluorocarbon you have come to expect.
4) Flexible Non-Twist Technology (FNT) is currently utilized on our 1000yd bulk spools. Products will include Tatsu, AbrazX, InvizX and Red Label.
For your reference, I’ve attached an image of what the new Seaguar 1000yd bulk spool should look like. We are currently in the process of putting together some communication materials for consumers regarding this as well as how to spot actual counterfeit Seaguar.
