Want to mount this in my Big Green Table. Ill need to swap the ends so the male end is on the long retractable cord. The current female end I will wire to a 4 gang box mounted in the table cabinet. Will this be a problem with the built-in circuit protector? Thank you.

I may mount the unit under the table and I want a sturdy outlet just under the counter inside the cabinet. Ill post pics of the completed project this weekend.

From what I see the male end is already (conveniently) on the 50' retractable end.

Unless I'm missing something. . . . . . wouldn't be the first time, either.

I dont think you can just unwind the cord and swap ends and spool it back on. I think you would have to cut off the ends and then splice them back on at opposite ends. You would need to see how it is designed on the inside. I dont think it is just one long cord but rather a long cord and a short cord attached to a common component.

as long as the load does not exceed the rating of the overload protection it will work fine. the wires do not know what is on the end of them. just make sure it is wire up right and it work fine.

interesting. I hadnt thought about disassembling to get to that component. That may be a better solution.
