Looking for any reports on lake Tyler East.

I live on the lake and shoved off the dock and fished for a couple of hours this week. I found a few fish in pretty shallow water along the grass lines or where I found some brush off the bank. I caught them on a Texas rigged Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw. I suspect you can catch them most anywhere that looks similar. I didn't try to fish deep.

I almost exclusively beat the bank and docks when I fish Tyler (T rigs, wacky, frogs, small swim baits) and usually get a few each trip. I hope someone on here will give some advice or report about offshore fishing on Tyler.

East or West Tyler...does one side of the lake has more grass/docks or produces better?

Both sides are similar. There are probably more docks on the west side but there are plenty on the east side also. Are you talking about fishing during the day or night?

Both lakes fish the same IMO.

Today, they were both stingy.

One difference between the two is LTE has a rocky dam and OLT has a smooth concrete dam. When I am desperate I go to the dam on LTE and fish the rocks. That gives a combination of bottom structure (rocks) and shallow to deep water (0 to 10-12' up close to the dam). You can always catch a fish or two along the dam even if you only catch spotted bass.
