I spent both Saturday and Sunday morning with younger friends and there 6 year old sons. Saturday I welcomed aboard Beau and his son Callen for a morning of chasing perch. We caught fish but the bite was a little more difficult than what I would have expected. But we made sure that Callen had a good time and would be ready to go again soon.

Sunday Cody and his son Bryce joined me. This was the second year for Bryce. The bite was stronger than Saturday.

Everybody had a great time and the boys are both ready to go again. I apologize for the lack of fish in the pictures. I really need to start taking more when I am on the water.

Nothing better then fishimg with the kiddos!
My first born, first fishing trip was when he was 2 years old. We went up the Guad chasing pre-spawning whites. I had about 3 dozen minnows. As I slowly trolled and casted lures, he was reaching into the livewell playing with the minnows. Got to my spot and tied off. Decided to tie on live monnows and there was about 3 minnows left. I ask him where did all the minnows go, he said, "Bye-bye". He is 19 years old now and when we are fishing I still tell him to keep his hands out of the livewell.

Great job. It is really rewarding to watch the younger generation have fun while fishing. Fishing is a great alternative to all the other choices that young people have these days. Thanks for sharing not only the pictures; but your time to do this for the kids.
