Just got back from Comodero. Was terrible. Nets everywhere, food was terrible and only small bass. Plus you have to deal with TSA pat down Go to White Rock Lake. BASS held an event there. Big bass, great scenery running around the lake and you can be at the bar telling bass stories in ten minutes.

Ive kinda narrowed down to Buchanan Whitney PK Athens But definitely will consider other Within 4 hour drive of Abilene Your kidding right??? Not asingle one of those list is known as a big fish lake lol. You really putting pk in the mix? You must not have fished it much Your in abiliene IVIE and HORDES Should start your list those are way closer and better size lakes. Heck Hubbard Creek and Proctor and oak creek would get my vote over any lake you mentioned except MAYBE Whitney. From abiliene I'd rank like this Ivie Hords Hubbard Creek Proctor Whitney

Google maps says 4 hours and 1 minute from abiliene to Diablo east on amistad...

. I have not fished hords in years but I fished Ivie about a month ago and caught a couple of decent fish was just trying to go to some place different and give it a try but maybe I will give hords a try I know its a pretty small lake !
