My sister and brother in law are going to look at Lake Dardenelle in Arkansas as a future place to retire on 6/29 and staying until 7/3. He is going to try to find a guide to take him out and tour the lake and do some fishing. Has anyone here been up there and hired a guide or have any recommendations for a guide up there? I know it's probably a long shot, but figured I'd give it a shot!

I fished Dardanelle this past weekend in the Big Bass Tour tournament. We stayed at America's Best because they had boat parking. The rooms were not clean and air conditioners had an odor.
As far as fishing. We stayed down in the Illinios Bayou, Dardanelle Bay basically the lower end. Friday and Saturday was extremely hot and water temps were in the high 80's on Friday and Saturday we found water that was 95.7 degrees. It's a river system so when the barages lock in/out the water falls and rises. The fish tend to feed when the water was falling. We caught a ton of 2 lb and under fish. There is lots of submerged grass and a lot of standing vegetation.
You need to be careful running the lake as you can be in 16ft one second and then sitting on a sand bar the next. Stumps are scattered every where. Our practice day was Friday and it was used to figure out running paths.
You should venture over to the BBC and check the Arkansas forum. Those guys are very helpful. The fishermen on the lake were extremely nice. The no wake zones mean no wake. 5 mph max. I learned this on Hamilton a few years ago.
