I just think if soldiers and firefighters have to shave, cops should too. Cops don't have to wear oxygen masks or gas masks.

That's actually what the one university officer dressed as for Halloween. His boss showed us the pictures. Makes it a little difficult to not laugh every time we see him.

Jim Ford is correct. A big part of my job is recruiting and hiring new officers and regardless of how well they do when we bring them in, they struggle with report writing while in the field training program. Many don't pass the program. Face to face communication is also a big issue. As far as tattoos, I see just as many non vets as vets that have them. I am also against exposed tattoos in uniformed positions but I realize my views are old fashioned. We only allow beards in uniform during no shave November as a show of support for the testicular cancer foundation. It's a fun time for officers and most get into growing a beard for the month.

Half the kids these days look like MS13 members. I guess thats normal these days. Let be doctors and lawyers and cops and such.

Could care less what they look like . Shake my hand , call me sir , handle your job wether I like the outcome or not and Im good . Tats and beards and such doesnt matter to me . And lady cops are hot even tho I would never be rude and say such a thing to them but hot damn they look good in a uniform!

Um, no. Scroll to the bottom of the link and look at the LEO. That's roids. Not simply working out, training muscle groups and eating the right diet. Police offices were once held to a higher standard of appearance than many other occupations. I don't know if they even have inspections of dress and equipment after detail or briefing anymore. Anyone???
