For those of you that know me (that really know me) my passed career for 15 years I�ve been a police officer, my mother was one for 40 plus years between San Diego and Hurst PD. So I can make fun of other police officers or Fire Fighters if I want to and nobody should want to shame me on here...

But today I was leaving Walmart and saw a police officer and I just really had to laugh... he was escorting an employee out to her vehicle why I have no clue (not my business) but I knew the officer from years ago. This guy wears his uniforms so tight, if he bends over or sneezes I swear his uniform will split at the seams... He used to alter the sleeves to make them tight so he looked buff, his legs probably had to be oiled up to get in these pants he was wearing, again if he bends over or sneezes there will be blue shrapnel all over. Why not just workout to get in shape, a stick or round is not in shape (yes it is a shape)...

Also what�s up with departments allowing officers to show off their ink? To me that is just so unprofessional and trashy.

Again if someone wants to shame me for trashing my brothers in blue by all means do so publicly...

It almost sounds like you want people to call you out for trashing police.

I find the tight uniform story funny also. I would laugh at that if I saw it.

I�m not military or LEO, so I can�t speak to visible tattoos. Tattoos are not for me, but I know some people with extremely visible tattoos that work as hard as anyone I know and flat out good people. I admit to judging a book by its cover more than once about tattoos, but I�d also have fewer friends if I didn�t realize that�s a terrible way to judge someone. Again, I can�t speak to departments making rules against such things.

I don't get agencies that allow beards. That's worse than tats.

Most Vet's are inked. No problem with it. Especially if it is a devil dog or a Navy Seal. Tell them your opinion and see how it works out. They will likely laugh at you.

I just think beards look more unprofessional. Cops should have short hair and be clean shaven. I couldn't have a beard when I worked for tdc or the sheriff's dept, so I get annoyed at these small town departments looking like Duck Dynasty.

No offence... But have you raised this aggravation anywhere but the OT? I couldn't care less what my LEO looks like. As long as he or she are good folk.

Good point... beards should be a no no... and maybe I mis spoke... tasteful ink absolutely but a sleeve of ink, you look like a thug, big difference

A Vet? Lots of them after two long wars. Ink? Seriously? Judging a person on their appearance is dumb. We used to judge people on their character. Those days are gone.

I just think if soldiers and firefighters have to shave, cops should too.
