You could probably park at the Little Elm boat ramp and walk out to the rip rap under the bridge and catch some. Pure speculation as I only fish for Bass.

I've had luck at Little Elm Park in the past. I'm almost certain it's open 24 hours.

I park in the lot to the north on Bridgeview Dr and walk the trail to the west then north and fish the point that faces west. But I have not fished it this time of year. I would suggest only fishing here after dark because that park is very busy during the summer and there is probably a lot of boat traffic.

I have seen some really nice blues caught from the old lewisville dam. Deep water access and plenty of shad.

Is the old damn still viable? Last time I ran by there were signs up to keep people out of the park on the west side of the bank. Story is it could fall any minute, but I'd really like to make it out there if I know people are still hitting it up. Guess you just gotta walk a bit.

That's news to me, but I wouldn't doubt you. Been a few months since I have been out there. I hope it is still accessible. Great place to catch carp and buffalo with the kids and catfish at night.

I'm also interested in an update about the old dam, since I've experienced the same thing (signs, warnings, closed roads, etc). I guess I'll just hike it and see if it's producing. Worst case scenario someone tells me to leave?
