Briminator my favourite go to brim fly and yes big fish do eat little flies. I usually tie mine on a 8 or 10 hook.

I use the single cathedral pheasant fether version of the Briminator. In Tx it worked for pretty much everything. All species of gills, LMB, Guadalupe Bass, rainbow trout, cats, suckers,white bass. I tie them in sizes 8-12.
