Taking my girlfriend out for her first time yak fishing this weekend. Anyone been to Ray Roberts lately? I've never actually yak fished there so I'm looking for suggestions on where to launch.

Thanks!

I have at Buck creek. For me it was half mile paddle to the fist crappie.

Have been to Johnson branch st. park. - now that's decent yakking. close parking or even go camping. small cove with a channel through it. long time ago though and want to go back.

I was thinking about launching at Ray Roberts Marina, mostly because it's really close to the house. Thanks for the info!

Ended up launching at the marina and just fishing around there. We caught a few small ones and then my kayak sank with me in it. Time for an upgrade
