Very nice. Details? Size of the fish? Outfitter? Lodge? Flies?

We used Clarks Resorts and Outfitters. This is the second time with them, and their service is first class. It was about a 1400 mile drive from Arlington, to their base camp. They flew us out the next morning to our cabin. Our cabin was the only one on the lake about 90 miles north of base. They provide free minnows, gas for the boats and generators, and check up on the group every other day.

We caught hundreds of walleye on the our main lake. However, we spent most of the week on one of the portage lakes. The weather was unusually warm, and the big pike moved into shallow bays. I was sight casting for pike 90% of the time, and was trying to keep the smaller 30 in and less pike away from by fly... The smallies were caught on clousers on wind blown banks and points. The pike aren't picky. I threw huge tube flies trying to keep the smaller ones off. My buddy actually hooked into a walleye, and a big pike came up at latched on to it. The net was to small... hehe. Good times!

This was my go to, in variations of olive, orange, red, white, and gold. Granted, plenty were caught on smaller clousers in red and white.

What weight fly rod are you using to throw the large flies?
