Academy is carrying a trailer hub kit by Smith, has anyone use this, I’m slinging Grease and this looks to be cheaper than having them repacked and re-done, .... $50 each for new kit at Academy

Gee, that's only about double what Redneck Trailer Supply gets for them, if you don't mind driving 70 miles to Arlington! If you're gonna put 'em on yourself, you'll learn a handy skill. Everyone with a trailer should know how to re-pack wheel bearings. While you're there, buy a spare hub, pack it with grease, plastic bag it, and carry it in your truck, for those road-side oh-ohs. You'll be ready. Jus' sayin'. If you already know all this, just disregard. IslandJim

If you're slinging grease, you have a bad rear seal on the hub. That happens a lot with people trying to over grease Buddy Bearings. They also go bad if the hub has run dry for a while.
Seals are cheap. Pick up a set at any trailer place, a can of bearing grease and you're done for less than $20, plus you'll know how to do it

This! Search you tube for a video on packing bearings.
