on Fri, Sat, Sun? I understand people will be out, but are these lakes overrun with folks on the weekend? I don't want to drive 3 hours to fish in a parking lot of boats.

Thanks for any info.

No not bad. I lived in Nac for 4 years and still visit pretty regularly and have never felt overcrowded on Lake Nac or Naconiche. Peak of the spawn is the fullest I've seen the parking lot but it still wasn't bad on the water. Not really sure why everyone acts like these two lakes are so busy because they are probably some of the most peaceful lakes I regularly fish.

Is there anything non-obvious that I need to know to get around those lakes? I have never been to either one. From videos I've seen, Naconiche looks stumpy while Nacogdoches looks pretty open.

On Naconiche I never run higher than an idle except in the main lake right by the ramp. the two arms are basically a forest. You'll know when its time to come off plane.
Lake Nac is wide open south of the power lines. North of them is still relatively open but lots of random single widowmakers so i usually just take it slow.

I usually prefer lake Nac because it lines up more with my style of fishing. clear water, lots of grass and pads, docks. Swim jigs and frogs.
Naconiche has a steep bank all the way around and lots of trees and a good bit of grass, no docks. Frogs always work but other than that i usually just have to junk fish.
Both lakes are fun though.

On Lake Nac, a bluegill colored swim jig with green pumpkin trailer dipped in chartreuse over the top of the hydrilla is money when the sun is high.

Thanks for the tips guys. Really appreciate it.

I have 2-3 days to fish. I think I will hit those two lakes for sure. If there is another in the area that you’d strongly recommend, please let me know.
