So other than that flurry at Fork back in March, I don't recall a run on big fish being caught like have been in the last week.

Marine Creek - 13+
Fork 12+
Tawakoni 14 (pending lake record)

I know its that prime time leading up to a Full moon but any other theories out there on why all these giants were caught in such a short span?

There haven't been a lot of details on how these fish were caught other than the Marine Creek fish being on a ledge in about 20' and that the Twok fish was caught on a Gene Larew Tattle Tail in Sooner Run.

Post spawn females on the feed. Many already out deep. Much less fishing pressure than a couple months ago. Late May/early June have always been a great time for catching big females that have recuperated from the spawn.

That makes sense. The late great Dean Stroman always told me he hated fishing Feb - April but thrived on May and June.

Been thinking the same thing. Went cat fishing with some friends on the 19th and decided to hit some of my favorite bass spots with C-rigs for bass before we started and my buddy caught his PB 24.25".

Also I talked to a friend who caught a 9.9 at Mineral Wells fishing a tourney, plus Pack and Livesay's customers have been catching double digits as well.

Plenty of opportunities for the weight police and the life jacket mafia to criticize and speculate

My theory is that we had one of the coldest winters in a long time. Good shad kill out deep in January. They fed up better this winter than years past.

I think Fork is 1 to 2 more years from busting out at the seems again with BIG fish. Caught several over 9 lbs. so far this year, and seen some real big fish brought in.

Imagine what you'd have caught if you weren't always using that fairy wand and fishing for 2.5 lbers! roflmao

Yeah, I know. I need to quite worrying about tournaments and catching numbers and just fun fish for big fish. Problem is I have a competitive wife who loves to fish for money and is damn good with a drop shot in her hands. But then again, she did learn from the best Fouz! roflmao
