I have a 92 model and Bob got me great insurance with a stated value policy. A lot of companies won't cover older boats or if they do won't cover much. Give Bob a call and see what he can do. I've had him as my agent for at least 5 yrs now, had a couple of claims (lower unit, transom, trailer, all at different times) handled quickly and painlessly.

There are so many and all with similar premium. This is my first boat so don't want to get stuck with bad insurance. I found United Marine Underwriters, Insurers: American Modern Insurance Group. They seem to have great coverage for good cost, anyone deal with them in the past.

State Farm is IMHO the best, have had it for many years. Friend of mine had Progressive, nightmare, denied claim, costly mistake by my friend.

We offer agreed value policies at Charter Lakes Marine Insurance, even for older vessels. We are a wholesaler, and underwrite each risk as its own. We take into consideration any upgrades or repairs and value the vessel at what its really worth. When your ready to shop your current insurance, give me call! I am happy to help smile

State Farm jacked me on a RV claim several years ago and wanted twice the premium price to insure my boat over Bob @Worldwide. I would never use them for a boat.

been with Bob @ WORLDWIDE/ American modern ins quite some time.
have and agreed value policy.never had a claim
having to hash things out now after a stump incident at Fork.
they are telling me that since the boat is a 1999 that depreciation on the lower unit repair is 80 % !!!!!!
1500.00 on the estimate to repair so that would leave me with a 1200.00 repair!!
that's 3 years worth of insurance payments!!

I love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning !!!

well update on the problems!
pays to keep your stuff in good condition and save paperwork on maintenance !!!!
after looking things over the insurance co. is paying 100 % on the claim, lower unit and 2600 in gelcoat repair !!!
no depreciation and since i have vanishing deductible after 6 years, 0 $ out of pocket !!!
and check got here in 3 days!
