Check out Matt Cremona on youtube. Great woodworker out of Minnesota and he did a whole series on this.

Don't get me wrong it is very cool beautiful actually. I just have this thing about doing things right the first time picky yes I am.

I'm working my way towards live edge resin work tables, kind of like that.

I've been making these for a couple years and people seem to love them. It's always something different and the process of the burning is just absolutely cool as hell.
I've got a blank set of tables set up in the shop right now, I need to finish and sell, get them out of my hair.

Mark, don't know y'alls style is, but people have been putting in luminescent dyes and colors in the resin and making some really cool stuff. The resin can be temperamental.

You really have to work hard to be negative about something like that.

That guy displaying the table top has some wild eyes! He could easily be an extra on The Walking Dead.

After a closer look, those are the eyes of a white walker.

The resin they are using is epoxy resin and it does have plenty of strength. I also assumed it was weaker poly or vinylester resin and that would make it weak without any cloth or fiberglass.

Dave-O , that looks awesome but I think you need a better ventilation system.
