Is there a place to pay and download onto SD card?
I have Humminbird Lake maps but want to try Navionics.

I believe you have to buy it, or find someone to loan you theirs.

Fwiw, I have Navionics platinum in my rig, and from what I've seen if you're running Lakemaster, you've got the better map.

I think you can buy it on line, and download it.. but personally, Lakemaster is better..

Here the same spot on the lake on my 998C SI..although rotated a bit. The contour lines aren't even there.

I'd go over to the BBC and post the Lakemaster question on the Humminbird section. You'll get some help. Something has to be off as I've seen much more detail on a Lakemaster map on other people's graphs.

Thats a detail setting on the graph. You can show or hide. I dont have HB memorized, but I remember it being in there somewhere when I was playing with them. Try this and let us know. https://navionics.secure.force.com/kb/pk...umminbird-units

Look under chart options and see if contour lines are hidden.
If hidden it will usually just show contour lines where shading changes.
I have navionics ap on tablet and lake master chip in birds. Have seen some inaccuracies on both, but much prefer my lakemaster chip.

when comparing nav. and lakemaster. it really depends on which lake your looking at. nav. generally has more detail unless the lakemaster is a high definition lake. example on eagle mountain lake lakemaster is not a high definition lake and nav. has much more detail. on ray Roberts this is not the case. i have both for this reason.

Unless your updating navionics or checking the webapp to see what your lake looks like you may not have the best map. Also, make sure you have sonar charts turned on to get the most detail
