So far, we've pulled 72 off this log. Pitching out Thump Chubbies and letting them fall back to us.

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT GPS COORDINATES !!!!
Hebrew 12:1b let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Honestly Lane, I would have kept on trucking. I've stared at that log and still don't see many fish on it much less 72 lol. That's why your the guide and I'm not lol. Nice job

Laner,
I received my order of buddies, and can't wait to go try them out.
Thanks for sharing the pic, because I know I would have just kept on cruising by.

What tipped me off about this log being loaded is all the shadow spots on the left side of the log, as well as the white fuzzy dots that are covering the structure. I was to the right of the log, shooting my side scan to the left. The shadows you see are the fish suspended above the log, while the white fuzzy dots are the fish holding tight to the log itself.
Think of side imaging like a flashlight, if you shine it on the wall, and put your hand in front of it, you'll see a shadow of your hand on the wall. Fish on a pile are your hand, and the sonar waves are the flashlight.

Wow, that looks a lot like a log I fish on Cedar Creek. I can't say that I've ever caught more than a few off it on the same day, though.

as ernest paty said, if it looks " dirty" fish it!!
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

What depth of water was that lay down in?
I'm finding fish moving out deeper but the fish will usually suspend over cover at 10' to 12'.
I guess they are waiting for schools of Shad to pass over them.
The Threadfin Shad will spawn this month....at 1st light in the mornings. Crappie may get shallow again in the early mornings.
