Launched Monday about 3pm from Loafers Bend targeting sandbass. Decided to try for sandbass at Harbor Master first. Set up right on the transition from 80 ft to 40 ft. First drop Rob hooks up and 2 seconds later I hook up. Next drop Rob gets two and I get another one. Rob gets two more singles and I get one more then NOTHING. After that we went looking around and could only manage one here and one there. One big goldfish (see pic). Went back to Harbor Master and managed a few more. By that time it was getting close to sundown and we decided to look shallow along the East Bank between Harbor Master and Towash. Found some big schools of shad moving around then the fun began. Top water in 2-4 fow. It was not lights out but so much fun. These fish were very aggressive and would not give up until they had a hook in the mouth. Sandbass, LMB and Striper.
Tuesday we got on the water a little after 6am and headed to the East bank. Lots of fog and overcast. Wasn't long before first fish. Shad were shallow, very shallow and some were spawning. We caught a couple of fish just feet from the bank. Striper, LMB and sandbass. This lasted for about an hour to hour and a half. Went on the hunt as we did Monday with same results, could not find any. We were frustrated and thought we found a good school down by Whitney creek area - CARP and a lot of them. Marks looked good until you slowed down (long lines indicating slow fish) and you realized these were not sandies or stripers. So around 11 we went back to the East bank and threw some small lures and picked up a bunch of LMB up to 4+ lbs with a few stripe and sandbass mixed in. I think we caught about 16 LMB. Guess we need to switch to LMB fishing (not going to happen). It was fun ending the day with top water in the middle of the day.

learnin to fish,
I use my laptop to post. If I am lucky I can connect my phone to the laptop and up load pictures directly from there using the upload button.

But most of the time the picture is rotated and I have to use an editor to fix, I use photoscape, it is free.
I don't know why but if I open a picture to edit and just save with photoscape then upload they come out right.
