That rattlesnake was framed! Halfway decent attorney and he walks.

That doesn�t sound right. He was probably messing with the snake and made up that story because he didn�t want everyone to know how much of an idiot he was.

I'm 90% sure I'll get bit by a venomous snake before I die. And I will admit I was being an idiot when I got bit.

I never heard about or seen a rattlesnake in a tree.
saw plenty water snakes in trees near or in the water.

It is interesting that it fell out of the tree, bit him in the hand and his friend collected it...

If a rattlesnake falls in my kayak, I might die of drowning...

I�ve seen rattlesnakes in mesquite trees before. My dad taught me years ago to always look at a tree good before cutting it down. Has kept me out of trouble.

Fell out of a plane

I trapsed* around 3 acres of North grapevine lake today, started off at waters edge and rose 40' to the top, topo/tree survey, heavy underbrush thought for sure see a few serpentines, not a one, did spook a fawn, fun times

Story has now changed. He was being an idiot. Saw the snake swimming and grabbed it. Got him 3 times on the hand. He is doing OK now but may have some nerve damage on his hand to go along with that between his ears.

Good catch finding an updated story. What an idiot. How do you mistake a rattle snake for a gator, unless he thought it was a baby one, and then I�d assume a larger one was nearby? And why would you want to catch either species? If it was a gator, he might have had even more trouble than getting bit three times by a rattler.
