Firing the pit. Pork Loin ribs, Chicken halves, Frijoles, Pepper poppers, the little lady's slaw.... and whatever the rest of the family brings over. Family time as usual. Will not be on the lake.

Right.... My kids are Marines. And a few of their buddies with nothing better to do than come to a BBQ. Recognizing that as well. So I am cooking for Vets that didn't die in service. We all know what the Holiday is about around here.

For us, we will fish Fri. and Saturday morning, and be off the lake before the crazies show up. Cook some fish Saturday evening and have a few beers. Sunday and Monday I need to plow one of my fields, that may not happen.

Friday head to Texoma, maybe fish some Sat and Sun morning, will burn some meat for sure, drink some beers for sure, give a toast to all the heroes, head to Broken Bow Sunday afternoon, we have a pretty good band playing at Shuck Me Sunday evening, Monday take some tylenol and head home.
