That's a pretty bad comparison. The Royals do so much for charity, and the needy around the world. The Kardashians are just media whores and sluts. The Royals serve in the military (real active duty), the Kardashians just serve themselves.

The money they give doesn't come out of their pocket. It comes from the taxpayers. Yes, Harry and William did their stint in the military. It's all for show. Where do Harry and William get their paycheck from now? And what is their job title?

I watched quite a bit of the coverage and found it very interesting.

The Royals cost the taxpayer money, but it is a very nice investment considering the tourism gains. Most of the expense is offset from the Royal Trust which has a lot of property and investments. It is not like people go to the UK to enjoy the weather, they go in large part due to the history of the Monarchy. Who doesn�t want to to see Hampton Court and feel the ghosts of Henry VIII and Ann Boleyn.

Long after everyone has forgotten who/what the Ks were Prince George will be one of the wealthiest, and given his gene pool more good looking, eligible bachelors in the world. To quote Dudly Moore in Arthur...'it doesn't suck'.

If I remember right from my trip there the tax dollars to the royal family cost the avg Brit about 6 pounds a year. Now I think that about 8-9USD per year. Not a lot of money being forked out, most of it goes to security. This was and is a wealthy family on their own. I believe they are the richest family on earth. They have made some good and smart investments over the years. Keep in mind they do not own things like Buckingham palace or other royal places.
