Looking for some help finding kayak fishing tournaments in the north Texas area. See some here and there but could use some help finding good tournament resources. I don't have the most open schedule so that isn't really helping out much either. I have never done a tournament before so looking to try my first and be humbled. Sunday and Monday are ideal for me but could do some afternoons on Saturday or possibly during the week. Where are some good places to find tournaments? Don't care how big or small just want the experience for now. Thanks in advance!

I assume you are asking about bass fishing. North Texas is a big place; not sure if that matters. There are several tournament series in the DFW area: North Texas Kayak Championship, Fort Worth Kayak series are two that have tournament series events on Saturdays. There is a tournament every Thursday evening (Mariner Sails Working Man's) that are scattered around the Fort Worth area. There is a series called Trinity River Bass Battles that is held on Sunday mornings. Call Backwoods, Mariner Sails or Anglers Pro Tackle for more info.

If you just want to check out kayak tournaments and not worry about loosing any money then the Mariner Sails Thursday night Working mans is your best bet. It's free and it also pays out thanks to Mariner Sails. They hold them on various lakes around DFW each week so people not wanting to drive across town can get a chance every now and then. They have a Facebook page and you can call the store to find out next weeks location.

Oh man, I may be able to make it to the lake Clark tournament. I found it on Tourneyx, I assume I can just enter that way and show up at the appropriate time?
