Put the tube out for a couple hrs today. Tried to go yesterday but the wind was wrong and wind makes fishing from a tube almost impossible but conditions were better early today. Hit some of my old standbys and it started a little slow. Today was cooler than yesterday and that might have made the difference. Took about 20 min to get the first fish and this pretty little thing showed up.

The first fish as pretty shallow and I caught several more just like it but couldn't go up in size so I headed for a little deeper water. Working a piece of worm on a jig hook I found better fish about 6 inches off the bottom on about 8 ft deep. Still not huge fish but better.

I figured if the better fish were a little deeper then that is where I should fish. I headed to water about 10 ft deep and that's where I found the good fish. As long as I kept the bait close to the bottom they were happy. I took quite a few like this husky thing.

My intention for the day was to just fish for fun and I was turning everything loose. But got one about 7 inches long that took the hook way down deep. It was bleeding really bad and I knew I had to keep it. One sunfish doesn't come close to making a meal so I decided to keep 4 fish. The smallest one is the one that got hurt. Cutting board is 12 inches wide.

All in all a good day in east TX. Cheers Y'all.
