Not sure what this part is called, but when i accelerate my center console and i get higher than 10 mph, a pin pops out and the motor has no push, although it still idles and goes reverse and forward if need to. Not sure how this happened but is there a fix for it? 2001 mercury saltwater 90HP.

after looking a part diagram, looks like that rod is the way it's supposed to be, looks like the plastic retainer, swivel bushing, is what needs to be replaced;

23-93248 1 - Bushing - i think this is a merc part number, or

BUSHING
Part # MRC-932481 $7.45 from jamestown distributors
