Gunfire erupts at school. Leaders offer prayers. Children are buried.
Repeat. More "good guys" in schools with guns, but you don't want this- I do-

WTF is wrong with people nowadays? Maybe if they started holding the parents accountable for the actions of their out of control hateful kids some of this would stop. Sadly, schools dont hold kids accountable any more. Kids do what they want to do with rare consequences if any. And its all to appease the parents. The school doesnt want parents complaining. Sad but true.

Repeat. What is your solution to the problem? Other than sarcasm? Thats not sarcasm, thats a comment germane to the topic and speaks to what has now become a regular occurrence in America And I have no solution

We need to stop raising kids that are wusses and cant handle disappointments or disagreements. My Generation, Generation X( fixing to be 44) Has raised a bunch of titty babies. These kids their whole life have been coddled and catered to, been told they are the best even when they suck, give them participation trophies for losing. What we are seeing is the end results. These kids don't know how to handle rejection and failure. They've forgotten how to communicate due to social Media. They don't handle their insecurities. Bottom-line my Generation, Generation X, has failed overall, when it comes to raising kids.

Lets keep this one on track please. Will be plenty of time later to assign political/generational blame or throw out our ideas on a solution. Lets keep this post for prayers, updates and information.
Thanks for the cooperation.

I've come around to more armed officers in schools. I guess every school should have at least one. Maybe it's a teacher in some of the smaller schools. I'm also supportive of raising the age for the purchase of any semi-automatic weapon to 21.
I also recognize those two solutions would not completely solve the problem. It's a cultural issue at this point.
Very sad to hear this; again.

we used to go to high school ( open campus ) and hang our shot guns and rifles in the windows of our pick up Trucks....we never heard of a school shooting.....something has happened to create a lot more un-stable people in the world... yeah i went to a HS in OK that was pretty rural, every truck had 1 or more guns in the window rack. we had rifles everywhere we went, nobody got shot. except a buddy of mine who caught a .22 ricochet off a pond dam in a freak accident when we was plinking turtles. something has changed in our society in a big way, and its not just proliferation of guns, there were lots of guns at schools all across the country but this type of deal just didn't happen. i don't have the answer, and i wonder if we truly understand the real root of the problem.

Reports are he used a shotgun. How does one walk from the parking lot into the school and around the school with a long gun of some sort without being noticed before they start shooting. I can see sneaking in a handgun, but how does this happen over and over with a long gun?
