Its not quite that easy...but I think there will be low scores. I kind of wish they would let it dry out and the ground be hard and fast.

Its far from an easy course when the wind blows and its firm and fast. Ive played it twice and its brutal in the wind. Rumor Ive heard is that they are in the running to host a PGA Championship in the foreseeable future.

Its not easy, but they are watering it down to slow it down, plus there is no wind until the weekend. Its different, and thats the biggest factor. I think thats why theyre watering the greens down. They want guys to be able to aim at flag sticks, not warm up for the British Open.

Talk about a diamond in a goats azz.
Hope the directions to the course are very clear.

Its just down the road from my favorite Dallas Golf course layout growing up
The Press Maxwell designed Sleepy Hollow. He is the famous golf course architect that also designed Prairie Dunes and Southern Oaks. Sleepy Hollow (previously named Riverlake GC) was effected by the Trinity River multiple times-plans for the Trinity River project closed it for good. RIP Sleepy Hollow

I fear the new links layout down there is doomed from the start. It doesnt look right with no trees on the course, but the entire perimeter thick with oaks and Hackberry. It will suffer periods of drought and looking dry and brown surrounded by wilting and dying trees. Then periods of flood when the Trinity swells to temporarily turn the course into a swamp

That's the rumor anyway.

Thats backwards oh guru of golf. The players championship (played last weekend) is moving back to march. The PGA championship is moving to may from its normal late summer.

I'm sure it had some "economic incentives" from the city. I believe it's in S Dallas now, correct? There in lies your answer. Why would they want a golf tournament in Las Colinas, where all that potential economic culture is already in place...I mean who would want to go to Cool River for a beer, or all those restaurants?

PGA Tour wives loved it at the Four Seasons.

I'm sure this move has greatly upset them.

No doubt, people with influence/in authority are feeling their wrath

Heck I am sure there are some nice hotels nearby in Pleasant Grove bolt . I am like several who commented above no clue why they would move this out of Las Colinas.

The venue was awesome, typical it aint broke don't fix it!!! A friend is there working a beer tent for charity, foot traffic is way down from the 4 Seasons course, no people, sucks big time for vendors, no outlying businesses getting any revenue, Irving was the perfect venue smdh!!.

The BN is dead!

They just guaranteed this event will be replaced shortly, laughable that they changed the venue, at a resort, smack in the middle of an awesome district, fools!!

just gonna leave this here, its gonna take -25 or better to win this. Leader is already at -15. lots of guys -10. pitch and put course,
sure its hard for a hacker but unless you tighten the fairways and grow the rough its easy and they love it.
