thought I would ask you experienced guys how too feed my gps cable & transducer cable thru opening in splah well where all wires, cables etc. go thru to console for motor, thanks for tips.Hope to get my 1198c going.

Disconnect 1 known cable, tie string to it and pull to rear.

I normally make a loop with cable and use electrical tape to tape plug to wire so it doesnt get hung up as bad.

I like the tarred trot line string because it doesnt fray, but any similar sized string should work.

Id pull a few lines through for next time and in case you break a line.

Then next time you pull a cable, pull another length of line with it so its already there.

I just use a fisher tape and feed it thru from the transom end with a string attached. I too tie a couple of extras on to leave in place. Then pull the new wire thru from the console side. Just be patient and work it thru slow so you dont damage or knock loose anything else.
