Thank you. I was going cross-eyed.

I won 50 on a 20 dollar scratch off the other day.
I went back and bought another 20 dollar scratchoff and won 100 dollars.
I quit while I was ahead.
Took the wife out to Cotton Patch to celebrate.

Definitely not a fake, I've acutallty seen that particular ticket at the store. The fakes do look like real tickets though, until you read the back (redeem at your moma's house, Lol). I saw a pic of the check as well. After Uncle Sam got hold of it, he took home $1,900,004.80. He did also contact a CPA as well, said he still plans on going back to work Monday.

From a great movie. White Men Can’t Jump.

2.5 million
How do the winning numbers at the top relate to the prizes below? Still confused hammer

They don't on this particular ticket.

Those scratch off spaces were just automatic wins for those values.

That was my confusion as well -- the winning numbers didn't seem to match anything - glad someone who knew what was going on could explain. If I'd have had this ticket I'd probably have tossed it because none of the numbers matched. noidea

I would have thought it would have been taxed more than that. They only took like 23%?

Standard "backup" withholding on casino or lottery winnings is usually 20%, and the recipient has to pay any remaining tax due by the appropriate due dates.

I've not ever dealt with a large lottery winning like this, so honestly not sure if the standard is 25% at that dollar level.
