Springtime fishing for the most part has been "GREAT"! Plenty of nice Bluegill,Redear,Hybrid Sunfish,Longear,Rios,Channel Cat's, and some nice bass have been caught in good numbers. Rounding out the catch were a couple of carp. Sunfish spawn is still on going and I am still seeing plenty of nest occupied. Rios are still looking for a mate. I have seen a few Rios on nest. Creeks and River lakes are producing good numbers of nice fish. Fish are being caught on the river lakes in 3 to 6 feet of water holding by docks. Fish on the creeks are hanging by brush piles close to the banks, and by grass beds. Worms with ultralight tackle were used. The Carp was caught on corn. Here are some of the catches that were made so far this spring. Myself, Rick-Catyakker,Clayton-Wildman of the Navidad, and Steve have had a pretty good year so far. Water bodies are in good shape but could always use a couple of "GOOD" soakings. Springtime Slabbing. It just don't get any better!
