 Xi3 or Xi5?

I just bought a gen3 HDS 9 FF for the boat and am looking to pull the trigger on an i-TM. I'm going with a motorguide due to lowrance compatability. What other differences between the i3 and i5 other than the fact that i5 comes with a foot control and i3 doesn't? Should I stay away from one over the other?

i3 is the baby brother to the i5. If your budget allows I say go with the big brother.

I have the Xi5 and like it. I've heard that the Xi3 does have some cheaper components in it and you won't get the pedal. I hardly ever use my pedal but I do have it jic I have an issue with the remote. Which ever way you go, take a look at the LiftSaver TM Mount if you don't like the way they mount. www.liftsavertmmount.com

Blue Nitro how does the Xi5 handle while fishing standing timber or fishing under bridges?

Pretty well. I just don't use the anchor mode. Set your speed to keep you close and then use the prop on/off to keep you there.
