I asked the same question to a touring PRO last year.
His answer was-- Hell yes. Who do you think I am KVD.

I have always wondered the same thing. Im just not sure if these people dont read the responses or if they just want to impress themselves.

I did some research and found out that you do need a fishing license for every state you fish in.

I didn't read all the responses, so if no one said it, the answer is Yes. They are checked at registration and have to show insurance, registration and a valid license.

Is it also a yes for non-pro's, or are we just talking pros? Can I get a few yes's for non-pros too? smile

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

they don't check registration or insurance at tourney registration. They check a few random boats at launch. ....at least that's how it was when I fished pro level events. Maybe it's different this year. cheers

They are required to have valid license, that doesnt mean they always do. My experience in Louisiana is most do, especially BASS events. I have seen fileboxes pulled out with numerous states accounted for. Other instances no licenses, registration or paperwork period. I know for fact one of the Fisherman that had picture on Kelloggs box was cited in pool 4 of Red River for no licenses.
