Saturday during the first annual murvall potlicker classic we stopped at a brush pile, dropped the trolling motor and my Helix just fell forward and hit the deck... I'm glad it didn't fall backwards or it would have
unplugged itself and joined all those three pound crappie I can see but never catch... y'all ever seen anything like this?

Thats one thing that deterred me from buying a humminbird on my last graph upgrade, their mounts are the worst/cheapest of the 3 big brands.

We did, remember...we agreed we just wanted to catch fish and put them in a box to eat...not chase those hogs around all day!...and that is exactly what we did, except for the last 20 minutes, when I mentioned a couple larger fish would be good for posterity...

I think I would send a pic of their mounts failure to them, along with a stern opinion of their mounts...if you want a harsh opinion, I would gladly help you out on the wording... roflmao

its already done...they will most likely blame it on my raised mounts.

i havent yet ruled out sabotage...i just wasn't gonna whine about loosing because of it....im leaning towards hickory nut being the perpetrator... During the weigh in he kept looking at me with a superior knowing look on his face...and he has that unflappable, sneaky, quiet air, about him, Tbox probably didnt know anything about it.

Man, sorry to hear that.

Time to get a Lowrance so you can hook it up to the Xi5 when you get it.

it would float for awhile. I dropped a 798 bird overboard while removing it on a Canada trip. It floated long enough for me to retrieve it. Worked for a week or so afterward, then quit and I had to send it in for repair.

Didn't you wonder why I had that hack saw blade in my tackle bag when we fished Saturday evening?
