Howdy y’all. I’ve caught a multitude of gar in my life, and I absolutely love it. However, I’ve never caught an alligator gar. I’ve been trying to locate a spot that is accessible by foot or kayak to fish for them, but I’ve yet to catch or even find a decent spot. Now, I know the game, I’m not asking for someone’s special gar “hotspot”. But, if someone would be so kind as to send a PM as to where I can go, that would be greatly appreciated. I live in Carrollton, which is why I’m having a hard time.

Drive down to US 287 south east of Richland chambers. There is a real boat ramp. You dont need to paddle far.

Lots of spots in this area, but never seen a Gator Gar pulled out.

Couple old guys fish there at night with lanterns, they hit the AG from time to time, say it tastes good, downstream from the dump, I'll pass
